AdviceScene.com launches the first Canadian website delivering free law information from lawyers to the public. AdviceScene.com is a fully moderated, social networking community linking lawyers and the public providing a free and democratic exchange of legal resources in Canada.
"AdviceScene.com is where Canadians go to get legal questions answered," said Kinney who writes a legal blog in Canada. "I believe that an effective legal system includes an open, transparent and public discussion of how laws affect our lives and how the law may be applied. Democratizing the law system means making the laws we all have to answer to more accessible for everyone."
Kinney went on to say that having lawyers participate on the site is a key component. Many people search online for legal information that is readily available; though much information is either incorrect or does not apply.
Kinney commented, "Lawyers who need online exposure can now provide reliable legal information through an interactive legal discussion forum that is fully moderated by one of their peers. Imagine if you could 'listen in' on all that advice and search for the information that applies to you instead of making a phone call or going out for a fact finding session with a lawyer? Information from lawyers can help you determine the key facts in your conflict and provide information on how to use the legal system efficiently so we all save time, money and hassle."
The site has a Morality Meter that allows the public to vote on and discuss current Canadian Legal issues and a free directory for lawyers that includes a link to their website to enhance their web visibility and will also provide free legal forms with its legal 'FormWiki'.
